The Story

Meet Albert and Zoe. Albert is 5 years old and loves learning about animals. Big, small, furry, scaly, you name it. And Zoe? She’s 6 and already knows all her ABCs!

One sunny morning, Albert and Zoe were super excited. Their school was going on a field trip to the Alphabetimals Animal Rescue – a safe place where hurt or lost animals can stay until they can go back into the wild again.

When they got there, they met a friendly Rescue Ranger named Rhonda. She smiled and said, “Hello, young adventurers! Today, you’ll meet some very special animals, from A to Z!”

Albert and Zoe’s eyes lit up. Lions, parrots, monkeys—a whole alphabet of animals! They could hardly wait to meet them.

But just as Ranger Rhonda opened the gate, she stopped suddenly. “Oh no, someone forgot to lock the gate! The animals have gotten out and are playing hide and seek around town!”

“Don’t worry, we’ll help you find them!” Albert and Zoe said together.

“Thank you!” said Ranger Rhonda. “To make them come home, you’ll need to find the letter that each animal starts with.”

“Like, A is for Alligator?” asked Zoe.

“And B is for Bear?” added Albert.

“Exactly!” said Ranger Rhonda. “If you find all 26 Alphabetimals, you’ll become official Rescue Rangers!”

Albert and Zoe jumped on their scooters and zoomed around town looking for letters and animals.

But the animals were very good at hiding, and after a few hours of looking, Albert and Zoe hadn’t found a single one.
